History
The department of History was started since the inception of the college in the year 1987.The Government of A.P. Sanctioned one post of lecturer. Later B.A.(HUCA) UM also introduced in the year 2005. A well experienced lecturers served the department for 32 years. Dr E.Sreedhar lecturer in History ,SDGS College has absorbed in to government services and subsequently, he was posted at this college on 09-09-2021.Smt S.Khushnuma begum, guest lecturer transferred to this institution on 24-07-2019 to teach Urdu medium students. At present there are one Associate Professor and one Contract lecturer has been working in the Department.
The Department is offering B.A. with the combinations of History, Economics, Political Science and History, Advanced Urdu, Computer Application . Majority of the students hails from Rural area and Economically Weaker sections of the society.
